Welcome to Resilient Faith Health Ministry!

“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” (3 John 1:2)

Mission

The ministry aims to deepen the connection between health and spirituality, guiding our congregation and community to recognize their bodies as sacred temples. We strive to educate and inspire individuals to embrace healthy habits in their daily lives, honoring God through mindful self-care and nurturing wellness in body, mind, and spirit.

Goals

  1. Educating and Inspiring – Providing accessible resources, workshops, and programs that promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, encouraging individuals to make informed and healthy lifestyle choices.
  2. Creating a Supportive Community – Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged on their unique health journey, recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of each individual as a child of God.
  3. Modeling Stewardship – Encouraging responsible stewardship of our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, emphasizing the importance of self-care, self-discipline, and self-love as acts of worship and obedience to God.
  4. Building Relationships – Cultivating meaningful relationships and partnerships within the community, collaborating with healthcare professionals, local organizations, and other ministries to address health disparities, promote health equity, and serve those in need with compassion and grace.
  5. Living Out Our Faith – Integrating faith into every aspect of our health ministry, demonstrating Christ’s love through acts of service, compassion, and healing, and encouraging others to glorify God by caring for themselves and one another.

Ministry Leader

New Salem hosts an annual health fair every May, open to both our congregation and the wider community. In collaboration with BayCare, Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital, and LifeLink, the church curates a range of activities encompassing vaccinations, wellness screenings, and comprehensive health education.

Our offerings feature diagnostic tests, blood pressure monitoring, Lipid Panels, and Health Choices sessions. We also present informative speaker series on topics such as Breast and Prostate Cancer. Attendees can engage with booths focusing on organ donation, heart health, breast and prostate cancer awareness, preventive healthcare, wellness education, and Bone Density assessments. Additionally, our ministry actively recognizes monthly health awareness campaigns and provides health resources at our connection desk every Sunday.

Health Education Ministry

The Children’s Ministry helps children grow and develop into spiritual teens, young adults, and ultimately spiritual men/women of God, who will make a lasting impact for the Kingdom of Christ. Through the various children’s ministries here at Shiloh, we believe that a firm spiritual foundation can be made that will anchor our children forever. Children’s Church meets 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Sunday. Nursery meets every Sunday.

We have a vibrant curriculum that children love and learn from, as well as family resources designed to meet the needs of today’s families. Children are encouraged to open their hearts to God through worship and study in a safe and loving environment.
Our Nursery- Kinder Director, Monique Rios, and our Children’s Director, Juli Godsil, are both available to help you in the most important task any parent can have – helping your child develop a relationship with God!

Heaven makes space for every child and so do we.

For some kids, we have the joy of working a little harder to make sure they are welcomed well. We call this our Breakthrough ministry and we seek to support neuro-diverse and special needs children. Parents and staff collaborate to find the best fit for the child. We have three different approaches:
Early Years (Ages 0-6): Inclusion model
Elementary (1st – 6th Grade): Inclusion model
Breakthrough (1st Grade – 18 years old): Sensory sensitive classroom

We believe our church is richer for these little ones and we seek to partner with Gods’ dreams and purposes for them. For more information and to notify us that your child will be joining us, please email: example@cmsmasters.com
