Mission Statement: As the Ushers Ministry, we joyfully serve as doorkeepers in the house of the Lord, united in purpose and spirit. Our mission is to warmly and effectively welcome everyone who enters, creating an environment where all can experience the presence of God and enjoy a Spirit-filled worship encounter.
Vision Statement: To create a welcoming and orderly atmosphere where every person who enters experiences the love of Christ through our service, hospitality, and commitment to excellence. We envision an environment where the spirit of worship is enhanced through our presence, preparation, and care, allowing all to encounter God freely and without distraction.
Who We Are
We are faithful men, women, and youth who serve as ambassadors of warmth and order. Our role is vital in setting the tone for worship and ensuring the service flows smoothly and respectfully.
Our Objectives
- Welcome and Assist Worshipers: Greet members and visitors with warmth and hospitality, helping them feel at home.
- Maintain Order and Reverence: Ensure the sanctuary and worship areas remain conducive to a spirit of worship through proper decorum and order.
- Support Worship Services and Events: Provide logistical support during services, events, and ceremonies to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Protect and Serve the Congregation: Maintain awareness of safety procedures and provide assistance in emergencies.
- Promote a Culture of Service: Encourage team members to serve as unto the Lord with excellence, humility, and joy.
Activities & Programs
Weekly Worship Service Support: Serve during all regular Sunday services and midweek gatherings by providing ushering services.
Special Event Ushering: Offer ushering services during weddings, funerals, concerts, revivals, conferences, and other special events.
Communion and Offering Service: Assist in the orderly distribution of Communion and manage the collection of tithes and offerings.
Training & Development Sessions: Conduct regular usher training on hospitality, seating protocols, emergency response, and spiritual leadership.
Annual Usher Day Celebration Celebrate and recognize the contributions of the Ushers Ministry with a dedicated service or banquet.
