We Believe In

The Holy Bible

We believe the Holy Bible is God’s word, the 66 books of the Old and the New Testaments, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by human authors. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

God

We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are co-equal and are one God. God the Father is omnipresent, perfect in holiness, wisdom, strength, power and love. Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19

The Birth, Burial, Resurrection

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, that He is the Son of God, coexistent with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He came to this world, suffered and was crucified, hung on the cross and died, was buried in a borrowed tomb and on the third day rose and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. Luke 24, 1 John 2:1

The Salvation is by Grace

We believe salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgivness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we run from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 3:26; romans 5:1

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the christian with power of living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians we need to live under His control daily. 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14-16; Acts 1:8

The Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. He will first come to call all the saints to Heaven, then pour out the righteous judgments upon the unbelieving world. He will then descend to establish His Kingdom. John 14:-3; Revelation 20: 106; 1 Corinthians 15:52
